I’m as guilty as anybody else about missing the lack of greenery and blossoms in the wintertime, and sometimes accusing winter of being drab and sad. When I go to that unpleasant space,  I pick up my camera  and hunt “worthy” photos.  I soon realize how unfair I am to Mother Nature when I don’t  recognize each season for its uniqueness and glory.

These ordinary silos are normally hidden from view in the more lush seasons because of the leaves that adorn the trees in front of them.  Only winter reveals  the gorgeous tiling on farm silos that have tenaciously weathered decades and alone and forgotten,  watch over stables abandoned long ago.   Only the winter sun was able to add the magical glow to ceramic tiles that are still perfect today.

Thank you, Mother Nature!
